March 2020: Impact of Covid19

We are interrupting our series on special education terms and processes to offer a number of resources and supports as we move through the uncertain time of social distancing and Covid19.

Newton Public Schools has a webpage dedicated to the district's response.  It is updated frequently so please check there for information about the schools and the resources they can offer which include food for those who qualify for reduced or free lunch, chromebooks for those in need, and various enrichment activities students can use at home during this closure.

Need some guidance on how to talk about Covid19 and the rapidly changing state of the world?  See below for links to resources on-line.

Most of all, during this time, be kind and compassionate to yourself and others.  Take all recommended precautions and work to keep yourself and those around you healthy.  Remember what you can control and what you can't- and focus on what you can.  Stay connected as much as possible, even if it is virtually (facetime, zoom, google meet, etc. are all excellent tools right now!).

Be well and take care of each other.
